I bought this product thinking it would be the perfect product to keep my family's privacy when needed. Fast forward 6 months later and my daughter's new MacBook is turning black for no reason. We take it to an Apple Store and an Apple representative tells us it's the camera cover. If you close your MacBook, this product will damage the screen over time! WHAT? Glad we had Apple Care that covered the $99.00 repair. If we DID NOT have Apple Care, we would have to pay $700!
