Review on 3M Aqua Pure Whole Replacement Filter: Unmatched Filtration, Pure Water Guarantee by Jonathan Fernandez

Our domestic water has always smelled of chlorine, but in the last 6 months it has increased significantly. It got so bad that we felt like we had just stepped out of a public pool after a shower. Installed this unit a week ago with a Watts WH-LD sediment pre-filter. Our water system does not smell or feel like chlorine. Pretty amazing. I've spent almost a year researching and reading reviews of various filtration and softening systems. Very very satisfied with this system! Our water also has a lot of sediment and in just a week the Watts 5 micron pre-filter started to darken so I can say with certainty that it is working. I don't know if the brown stains on toilets and plumbing can be fixed, but I'm optimistic. The 3M aquapure AP903 comes with the AP917HP cartridge, designed to reduce particulate matter and chlorine. We'll likely try the AP917HD-S cartridge when the current unit is replaced. AP917HD-S also reduces particulate matter and chlorine as well as scale. Those eyeing the AP903 build can check out the AP904 build, which comes with the AP917HD-S cartridge for about another $50. Installation was fairly easy but took a long time due to the addition of a pre-filter and recommended bypass line. I have decided not to install pressure gauges before and after filter systems. It's my first time sweating copper joints, but it's not that hard. In general, I am very satisfied with the system.
