Review on Gates 22719 Upper Radiator Hose by Pauly Blake

This hose is 1/2" shorter and 1" for my 2003 KJ Liberty with 3.7V6 and 45 RFEtrans. I tried installing it every which way I could think of, both ways, and it was definitely too short. Can I put it on, tighten the clamps and drive the jeep? Of course, but why take the risk. Beware! Never install a short hose on a car with a plastic radiator like the KJ as this will cause cracking as the engine vibrates back and forth. It is possible that this hose is causing many Liberty leaks that will need to be replaced. Dayco upper tube part number 72227 fitted perfectly with no cut and was of very good quality.
