Review on ๐Ÿฉบ Healer's Petcare Medical Dog Bootie - Blue, Single Unit by Melissa Hill

Dog boots ok not so good

Less than 1 week in use. There were a few issues holding this up and after a few uses the velcro came loose so we have to secure it with a piece of veterinary clip or a rubber band (which we no longer leave on). needs to potty walk the dog). However, this boot became a good protective case to wear outside on dry days to keep the bandage clean and I still use it for that. The stitching around the black part is coming undone so I don't know how long the black protective part will stay on top of the blue neoprene part but should take another week to use for this particular injury. I bought nonstick pads for the inside which are fine too. The glue that is supposed to hold them in the boot doesn't stick to the boot very well. They did a pretty good job of absorbing any slime, but now his wound had healed enough that she didn't need it anymore. We keep it very lightly wrapped in veterinary wrap on the inside and add a dog shoe for potty walks. When it gets wet (like when a dog steps into his water bowl, or when he falls outside in the dark and stays there until you find him in the morning) it doesn't dry very quickly, which makes me wonder how much moisture it holds, when dealing with a weeping wound or sweaty dog pads. I'm not sure I would buy it again, at least for this price. Would probably buy again if it was closer to $10.

Pros
  • Strong hook closure keeps boots in place
Cons
  • Working speed
