I used to buy cheaper lights and always had problems with them. As soon as I opened the box I saw a difference in the build quality of these trailer lights. They have a much heavier plastic body than cheaper flashlights. The LEDs are very bright which is a plus for a trailer, they should be clearly visible to vehicles behind you. I haven't had time to comment on how they sink underwater over time, but as far as I can tell they should work just fine. I cannot stress enough how different the build quality of the light body is from the cheap ones you usually see, it really is a step up. I would say the wiring that comes with them is typical trailer wiring, never heavy duty wiring, but I didn't expect the item to be expensive either. I also prefer the metal license plate bracket, but this is fairly durable plastic.
