I was tempted to give this product 4 stars due to design flaws. But I did a lot of research before buying a new stand, it really is probably the best play stand for my potbellied auburn shack, so I ended up RECOMMENDING it to a friend and we found solutions to the problems. Pros: The size is really big and gives the mango lots of exercise, pacing between food, toys and perches. It has lots of places to hang toys, so prepare yourself for lots of fun things for your bird to chew, swing and play on, and even more things to swap out and rotate out every month. You won't get that kind of excitement and variety with those super expensive wooden coasters. It's metal, so durable and easy to clean (which a drawer is great for), and we change the newspaper base every few days. We have this play stand right next to our desks (which is where my fiancé and I spend most of our time at home) and it allows us to have Mango with us and he likes to hang out and watch us or play around with his toys. and he reaps the mental health benefits of getting out of his cage and seeing new things. However, here are some shortcomings and how we fixed them: 1) Birds like to be as high as possible, so of course Mango climbed to the very top of the crossbar that the toys hang from and hangs there and chews on things, but this plank is so thin and smooth that we had to wrap jute rope around it to make it more comfortable and it worked fine. 2) The panels are well spaced to keep the bird eating mess at bay, but are also right under the poop area - so we had to tape some newspaper over the center poles like a roof for them. 3) The supplied feeding bowls do not fit in their holders and the steel bowls are starting to break. It is strange. I've never seen anything like this before and we haven't figured out how to fix it yet. But I guess we can either complain to the company or buy different bowls at the pet store. TLDR; Perfect size for a burgundy kennel, plenty of room to hang toys for stimulation, a play stand is a MUST for healthy happy birds and there are some imperfections but you can easily work around them.
