Bought for my son when he was around 13-14 months old and I ordered 2T because he is tall and quite tall for his age (usually wears clothes for 18 months) . He is 15 years old. Months and he'll probably get a few more socks from them. They are also very tight, he doesn't like to put them on. This doesn't restrict his freedom of movement when wearing it, but the sleeves in particular are quite narrow and tidy. I wish the sizing was a bit better because they did a good job of keeping them warm around the house as a base layer or pajamas. So if your child is small, they will probably fit you better.
