Just received this but repeated testing on the kitchen sink has worked every time. Just make sure ALL water is removed from the sensor between tests or the alarm will not stop. I installed this with Gorilla Tape in a new pan which I also just received in the return air section of the heat pump to detect an overflow in case the condensate pan full sensor clogs again. When this happens, it's a big mess that goes unnoticed for days and wets the surrounding carpet. Hopefully with this sensor and a new pan as a backup for the installed pan full condensate detector I can catch any problems before they become a bigger problem.
