There are endless ways to use this device. I received this to test and troubleshoot issues with my 3D printers and electronics. This is a good way to ensure the heat is where it's needed and not elsewhere. I like that video and heatmap can be overlaid. I see a lot of thermal camera videos online showing heat, but it's almost impossible to see exactly where the heat is coming from. This device allows you to mix the output of a video camera with the output of a thermal imaging camera, allowing you to accurately determine the temperature for a specific part. Firstly, this device has a large screen and is easy to use. Just turn it on and use it right out of the box is very easy. I find temperature measurements accurate (compared to thermistors and an infrared thermometer). There are many options that can be adjusted to fine-tune the results. The menu is easy to use and offers many settings. There's also a phone app that lets you view the screen remotely, as well as save pictures and videos. I first put the device's WiFi in hotspot mode and tried to connect the app, but many times it failed. I then connected the thermal imager to my WiFi network and the phone app with no issues. All in all a really great thermal imaging camera.
