The Inkbird Instant Read Digital Thermometer is perfect for preparing steaks. The quick reading allows you to quickly feel the meat and close the lid without losing much heat. It can also be used to check the temperature of a pit when placed in a vent. This is a great thermometer at 1/3 the price of a reasonable competitor. A great all round thermometer that does just that. I am very satisfied with the purchase, I will recommend to friends and acquaintances!
