You get what you pay for

Compared to the fakes they sell, the difference is in the adhesive! I put them on the down and top tubes and all mountain styles are locked and sealed even after a few washes of the bike. Keep in mind that they aren't very thick, so they won't withstand heavy falls or bumps, but will protect your frame from small flying rocks. Also make sure your frame is very clean when applying.
