Review on πŸ’― Discover the Muddy 1004614 Safe-Line: Unmatched Safety and Reliability! by Michael Schafer

Great line, worth the money

I have several of these muddy lines on the farm, some are three years old or so and they do the job. I like a few things about them, including the fact that they have two Prussian knots so you can climb them like a linesman tied to a tree and then draw your bow or weapon on the same rope. I love the reflective thread to help you find your place on a cold, dark morning in the woods (visible from afar) and I appreciate the strength of the rope. It gives you confidence but it is TOO stiff as once frozen it becomes quite difficult to manipulate. The Prussian rope I can compare it to is the Millennium rope that comes with their tree stands. I would say the Millennium rope is more flexible and easier to manipulate, but I suspect the Muddy will last longer. I also have a Hunter Safety Systems rope that is very similar. I buy my own strong Muddy or HSS carabiners to attach my gear and myself, and the older I get the more confident I feel when ascending and descending the rope. Tie, but these days, at 60, I'm more comfortable with it. I also like that it doesn't have a rubber bell over the bottom hinge like my HSS does, which can be PITA on a frosty morning. All in all, a quality rope is worth the money and damn safe.
