Good safety rope, good for sports and fitness

Good thick fall arrest rope, with a loop on one end so you can wrap it around a tree and thread the rope to hold it in place. Good thing he has two Pruigg knots when two people are sitting in the woods.

I love this item for hunting and fishing

I love this item. Better to be safe than sorry. This thing will protect you from the ground to your seat. Too many people fall off the ladder onto the seat. Don't be a statistic. I'm a 28 year old experienced climber and still use one of these when I go up. It only takes a time to ruin a weekend hunt or a future. Don't let this happen to you or anyone you hunt with.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Clarity

So much security for so little money

As I've gotten a little older, I hope I've gotten a little smarter. I now have these safety ropes on all my ladder stands that keep me connected all the way up and down when I attach my life jacket to it. And with a 50% discount, that price makes it a no-brainer! Everyone should use them! Every year, people fall while entering and exiting game enclosures and are seriously injured. Don't be a statistic! At this price you can't afford not to protect yourself!

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Damaged

Worth the money

I can't put a price on my life. I have never used a safety line in my young hunting life but the first time I used one of these it saved my life. Will never hang or climb on the stand without it again. This makes the ascent and descent a bit more difficult, but the feeling of security is worth it. I have 6 of these dirty lanyards and some have been used for two seasons and show no signs of wear or damage. I don't use them year round and they still seem new. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • Not sure

There is no quality control.

Works almost as advertised, issues I had with this Safe-Line: It has expired and was made more than a year before I received it. The rope contains two Prusik knots, however one of my Prusik knots broke due to a serious shortcoming in the length of the rope used. It has inner rope strands that protrude from the outer casing. Muddy's one of the most recognizable names in the woods, so I hoped for the best. It would be dangerous if someone overlooked this deficiency. I bought it just before the…

DANGER - I fell - The fall didn't stop

Use at your own risk. I came off the stands and slipped off the step and felt about 8ft and they didn't catch. Luckily I wasn't hurt, but it could have been bad. What struck me when I received it was that the rosehip knots seem questionable given the material they are made of. They are very tightly woven cords - almost like paracord - and they don't work properly to grab the cord. You will find that they slide too freely. They don't create enough friction to actually lock up the way they were…

Pros
  • Great price

Great line, worth the money

I have several of these muddy lines on the farm, some are three years old or so and they do the job. I like a few things about them, including the fact that they have two Prussian knots so you can climb them like a linesman tied to a tree and then draw your bow or weapon on the same rope. I love the reflective thread to help you find your place on a cold, dark morning in the woods (visible from afar) and I appreciate the strength of the rope. It gives you confidence but it is TOO stiff as once…

  • Great for me

Prusik knot anxiety

I bought this because it was cheaper than other belay ropes I've bought. I read reviews about the dissatisfaction of the Prusik knots. I thought maybe they were being unfair, how could you make a bad prusik knot? In the more expensive versions I've bought, the knot sits relatively tight on the rope, it can move, but you're more assured that in the event of a fall, it'll grab right away. However, I made my own cheaper than the price of the expensive ones. This article is about how much you are…
