I'll be back and update this once I've washed it a few times. I bought these because we're trying to use less paper towels, but we use a lot of tomatoes and eat tomato sauce at least every two weeks. I didn't want to get my blue, green, and white kitchen towels dirty by wiping tomato juice off a wooden cutting board every day. And it's a thick, heavy $200 Kohler wood cutting block that will last 20 years or more and is sealed with regularly applied oil. I will not take it out and wash it in the sink every time as that would ruin it and I would hurt myself. So now we have a tomato-colored towel that lives next to the cutting board. They're not super absorbent yet as they usually take multiple washes and are smaller than I expected. To be honest, they look more like little washcloths than kitchen towels. I deducted a star for that. If you use this when washing dishes to wipe off excess water, it would get wet. Plus, it's going to keep you falling on the floor - it's tiny. My fiancé washes dishes with a kitchen towel over his shoulder. It will never work. But let's see how he behaves like a tomato towel!
