I use these towels as kitchen towels for everything (cooking, drying, drying etc) and so far they have performed well. They're heavy, thick and durable and don't seem to shed or bleed with washing (I've washed mine half a dozen times and they're still black, and I purposely washed them with white rags to see if the color would gone - that didn't happen).
