I ordered this to complement the fan we bought as our installation doesn't allow us to plug in the outlet straight away. Connecting to the fan is very easy and the remote control works great. I panicked a bit because it didn't work the first time I tried connecting it to a fan, fearing the fan setting was wrong. Luckily, the first thing I did was check the battery in the remote control. It was made of protective plastic and had a small amount of corrosion. After they were removed there was a simple button to sync with the fan and it's been working great ever since.
