Review on Rugged Ridge All Terrain 14975 23 Cherokee by Tim Thornton

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Cheaper and better alternative to Weathertech and Husky

I have this for my 15 Jeep GC. It fits well. The rubber is much softer and more pliable than hard huskies, weather tech etc fitted by florists. It pads almost silica-based (don't know if it has it or not) but still feels pretty hard and thick. They have small spikes or nipples on their backs to bite into the carpet and stay in place. The facades also have holes for factory anchors. Good deep tread to protect your feet from dirt, mud and water hitting and falling off. I like that there are a couple of recessed hump pockets in the back seat to slip your phone or wallet. But they are not coasters. The edges of the charging mat are raised, making it look more like a 1.5" to 2" bowl. It's good if the dirt stays behind. Now about why it's not 5 stars. The front end, especially the rider end, can climb higher behind the pedals and avoid the throttle entirely. The trunk mat does not fit as well as the floor mats. The shape of the bowl can be awkward when things slide backwards.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • So far so good
