I bought this bike for my 5 year old, it's a little smaller than most but really wanted the bike, I'll list the pros and cons then summarize. training wheels. Tires are junk and don't inflate properly. The chain slipped within the first hour of driving, it has happened many times since and it is incredibly painful to put the gears back in. Also, NONE of the bolts on the wheels, handlebars, etc. will hold on for long. I first used the included hand tool to tighten the screws to the point where I couldn't move them anymore. Yes, after 1 hour they loosened, it's very dangerous for the wheel bolts, if they come out while driving, the wheels can fall off. I started using my power tools to retighten, but they STILL loosen. The tires burst at the seams, no matter how much I inflate, the air comes out immediately, luckily it's light so he doesn't realize he's running on flat tyres. But still. Also, even a teenager finds it difficult to pedal, the gears are not the right size so the pedal sags a lot, he has to go halfway before the pedal "sticks" and starts moving the tire, making it incredibly difficult . ride, even though it's a "beginner's bike".
