I have never had a problem with plaque. I returned to the US after living in West Africa for 2 years and my dentist looked at my teeth and said I had no plaque on my teeth BUT they were cracked! I am a person who eats chicken bones in pieces. When I have KFC, there's a tiny pile of bone splinters on my plate when I'm done. I eat all the gristle, then split the bones and chew the whole brain out of them. I'm a savage I don't do it anymore because these days I mostly eat plant-based foods (sometimes wine and cigarettes). On December 27th I had my third molar removed. It has been closed twice. I was sick for three years because it cracked, so I removed it, it turned out to be the second healthy tooth that I removed for no reason. Dentists in West Virginia extract healthy teeth, FYI. I bought this machine to clean about three isolated teeth that I have left. I have three islands between which it is not so easy to comb out the floss. This is a beautiful device! It doesn't take up much space on the sink and it has three heads of different colors, so I load it up for my husband before bed (he grew up in California with fluoride in the water and doesn't have cracked teeth, but he does have a gingivitis Band-Aids from a Dentist Watching) . He flosses in the mornings but not on the weekends! He has a lot of plaque on his bottom teeth when he's not flossing, I don't have it because I seem to have a different saliva.
