Decided to add my two cents. I have had this cable for almost two years. For me it works all around the room from the cable box to the projector. For some reason the connection appears and disappears from time to time. Sometimes it will be perfect, and sometimes it will fall. I've tried other cables with the cable box and never had a problem. This is the first long cable I have. I don't know what to do other than blame the cable. My Firestick works 100% well with the projector, but this 40ft cable just doesn't have the makings. constant. Never had a problem with the cable box when connected to the former TV with a 6ft cable. If I had to buy it again, I tried a different brand.
