Poor quality hinges

My first impression when I picked up the package was that it was fairly light, especially for 4 x 10 inch hinges. Dye. I think they were due to handling/moving before the coating had dried. There was a small spot about 1/8 inch in diameter that wasn't even covered. These hinges were quite flimsy and I think without the addition of paint they would feel even thinner and easier to bend. Definitely not for a heavy barn door or fence gate.
