Review on 🔧 SATA ST09703U 72T Ratchet End Cap Oil Filter Wrench - 8-Piece by Rich Schobinger

An interesting set of 6 standard metric sizes of oil filter, mainly for large cars and trucks, and a 3/8 ratchet with 1/2 adaptor. I understand why they didn't include a 1/2" ratchet, it really isn't necessary to remove the oil filters, but it's kind of funny that you have to use an adapter as all adapters have 1/2" fittings to have. on them. The filter adapters fit snugly on the 2 cars I have that work with them and fit the notches in the filter very snugly. I had no problem removing a filter. I don't use this filter kit, I only hand tighten it and in 25 years of oil changes in my cars, most of which are older, I've never had a sag. The included ratchet is actually pretty good. . It has 72 teeth and a pretty smooth ride. Definitely better than I expected from a set like this. I wouldn't compare it to a high end ratchet, but you can certainly buy a set of 3/8 sockets and some extensions and use it as an everyday DIY ratchet. I believe anyone who wants a set like this already has at least a 3/8" or 1/2" ratchet, but it's good to have a spare ratchet and I've tested it with some hardware and she is holding up very well. All in all a very good set, especially if you have 2 or more older vehicles or are a professional or semi-professional on various vehicles that use metric filters. I don't have cars that use larger filters, but a lot of older cars with big engines use these filters and it's nice to have such a wide range of sizes. I like these adapters a lot more than the universal oil filter removal tool I've used before which tends to slip off the filter easily.
