I don't consider myself a big coffee drinker. I sometimes drink iced coffee on the go. A few years ago I ordered a Chefman single pod coffee maker from Revain (no longer available). Until recently I had never heard of a Chemex coffee pot with a spout. I started watching some YouTube videos about Chemex and really enjoyed it. Since I don't know much about coffee, the talk about grams of coffee in grams of water etc. was a bit overwhelming. Until I found a great video where they make Chemex coffee just by brewing it. I've been sold! So I bought a 6 cup Chemex, Chemex filter, long spout kettle and coffee grinder. Then I started reading discussions about burr grinders and how they grind more evenly. I looked around for coffee grinders and after some comparisons I decided on this one. The only measuring tip I've used that works perfectly for me (I already had a scale) is that I use 38 grams of whole grains. On the "Capresso" coffee grinder, I set 4 cups to grind and to grind. NOW I understand why people love fresh coffee! The smell of these freshly ground beans is intoxicating. Grinding is even, cooks great! I love this espresso grinder. For a coffee newbie like me, this is amazing!
