I've been using my trusty old CRP123 for a few years now. This was my goto scanner to read codes and reset lights. In general I was very satisfied. I was very interested in trying out this "new and improved" version of the CRP123X. Let me just say it's definitely "NEW AND IMPROVED"! I love how it automatically determines the VIN and therefore the year, make, model, etc. No more manual entry of year, make and model as was often required with the old CRP123. I like the touch screen. Very fast and responsive, like any good smartphone. There are also normal keys. Handy if you're wearing gloves and the touchscreen isn't as responsive. I also really like how ALL the codes are displayed on one scrollable screen. No more scrolling with the arrow to the next page, next page, etc. The battery charge graphic is handy. It shows the voltage drop when starting the car, as well as the charging voltage. Handy for diagnosing starters and alternators. WiFi connection is good. Great for software updates and you can even email your scan results! So far I am very impressed with this scanner! Lot of money!
