14 Mesh is suitable for very detailed 3D projects.

This material is great for things like decorations and 3D crafts. You can use regular embroidery thread (between 3 and 6 threads; 2 threads does not provide enough coverage) for embroidery. You can even use it to make miniature versions of plastic canvases! This material is noticeably more expensive than Aida, so it is not a material for everyday sewing. And you need to be a little careful with the thickness of the needle and suture. (For example, when I tried to simply thread six strands of embroidery floss through, it only slipped through once. Larger stitches in this case are made by folding three strands of embroidery floss and processing twice.) It's also noticeably thinner and less durable...than plastic canvas with 7 grids (regular type), so I wouldn't give this pencil case to a small child. But this material has real potential if you keep its unique properties in mind. Here I have constructed a highly detailed pencil case/pen using techniques commonly used for plastic canvas projects. The closure at the top consists of magnetic pocket buttons. The stitches are counted stitch patterns such as Brick Stitch (Grey Green), Diamond Straight Stitch (Yellow Green and Dark Green), Mosaic Stitch (Pink), Braided Tapestry Stitch (Blue) and Rice Stitch (Orange/Yellow). ). . The edges are fastened twice with an overcast, first in one direction and then in the other direction.

Pros
  • USE WITH THREAD AND OTHER HANDS. Whether you use yarn with knitting needles or whistle brushes with kids, you can make fun colorful plastic canvas crafts.
Cons
  • Expensive
