This remote worked as expected until it fell out of the holder. Upon opening it I found that the brackets holding the batteries in place were just floating around and therefore no longer functional. I could understand that this thing would break if dropped from a great height, but for something that "sticks" to the wall with relatively weak magnets (so weak it falls off the mount if you open it cleaning the way to the switch). , it's pretty lame. I've had Minka Aire remotes that kids have thrown around the house for years and it sucks that this thing broke on its own. I contacted support and got a replacement under warranty. When it broke, the support team didn't respond. I think I'll end up buying a dedicated wired wall switch, hopefully it doesn't fall on the floor. But if I hadn't already spent money on fans and installation I would definitely buy from another company.
