I did a maple sap reverse osmosis system with a Hydrologic Stealth 300 and extracted sap with a sugar content of 2.1% to 3% in one pass. I swapped out the membranes at a local store to start last spring for $80 each! Since we doubled the number of outlets, we had to increase the efficiency of the reverse osmosis system, and I successively expanded the system with 5 pairs of 150 membranes and a case, and now it can take juice from 2.5% to 4.5% sugar one pass. But the real difference is in the 'clean' water, not what we found out last year when my wife used it in an iron (yes it was a mess). Stealth 150s pass 0.50% sugar while these devices only pass 0.15%, which for us means less sugar loss and more syrup (about 3 gallons more per 1000 gallons of juice)! It also means the water is cleaner than before and at 1/4 the cost.
