I'm a total beginner in any kind of art and I was looking for a sketchbook that I can use colored pencils and felt-tip pens to draw in. At the moment I only use pencils, but I'm sure they will work for everything. I didn't want to buy multiple sketchbooks so this works great. This sketchbook has it all. I love that this product comes with two sketchbooks, the smaller one is great for travel. What I like best is that it has a silicone paper protector that you place behind the sheet of paper so the ink or markers don't bleed through to the next page. There is also a pocket on the back of the book where pages can be torn out and stored. Each page is designed to be easily torn out when needed. In addition, there is an elastic band to keep the book closed and a bookmark to keep your place. The sketchbook itself appears extremely durable and of excellent quality, both inside and out. I don't know what it's made of, but it's a very durable material. And it's aesthetically pleasing, being a sleek, textured black with a small logo in the top-right corner of the lid. I would buy this set if you are interested in any type of art as it is great value and high quality. You will not regret it.
