Review on πŸ”ͺ Spyderco Lightweight Kitchen Utility Knife with MBS-26 Stainless Steel Blade – Efficient and Durable Cooking Knife by Mark Bishop

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Excellent knife suitable for power tools and hand tools

This is a worthy knife. Fits well in the hand and cuts well. I really like the Spyderedge tines. Sometimes I get a small amount of rust where the blade enters the handle. I wash the knife by hand and leave it point up in the drainer. I'm sure it's contributing to the problems. It doesn't matter much. I use the knife often and probably once a month I notice a little surface rust at the joint of the handle that wears out. I think it depends on the humidity and how long the knife stays wet on any given day. This knife is comparable in build quality to similarly styled Victorinox kitchen knives, but nothing beats the Spyderedge. This is a good knife for tomatoes, bagels and small bread. Depending on how you cut the bagels, this may not be enough. I like dipping the tip on the side and twisting the donut as you cut. Great for that. If you want to cut through the whole bagel at once, use a longer knife.
