Ideal for placing heavy objects on a wooden box. They provide an excellent low profile assembly as the lockbolt must not protrude through the mounting plate and through the regular washer, lockwasher and nut. Plus, you don't need a second key (and access) to tighten everything up. I switched some other hardware to tees which made room for more electronics.
- T-nuts are also known as blind nuts which use 4 prongs to dig into the wood to prevent the nut from turning when the screw is installed
