I bought this to do a DIY roof for a garage under construction. I'm not a professional roofer, so this weapon is used from time to time. I've driven a few thousand 1 1/2 inch nails and have never snagged or doubled up. With this gun you control the depth of the nail by adjusting the up/down pressure in the tank. Not as handy as the dial on the gun itself. I tear down DaVinci Shake clapboards that are thicker than asphalt. I'd say I have to use a hammer for about 3% of the nails that didn't go all the way in. This is probably due to OSB plywood, which has both soft and hard spots. never mind I dropped the gun once and wasn't hurt. IMO for the money you can't go wrong with this non-professional use gun.
