Very cool multimeter!

Very handy little gauge. The large LCD surpasses your classic cheap harbor ship model and the large display makes the measurements much more visible. The display backlight works well across the meter. The included thermocouple is a nice touch, as its banana plug lets you work without the hassle of an adapter (separate temperature displays are nice too, allowing you to see the millivolts at the junction and the corresponding temperature). The construction of the gauge is solid and the sensors were shipped with very little odor (this product doesn't have the toxic plastic smoke smell of cheap gauges). The flashlight function on the back of the meter is good: ambient lighting with a moderately bright LED prevents glare and offers a legitimate use case compared to most useless built-in overly bright LEDs with a narrow field of view. The battery case uses a suitable metal screw insert (rather than a cheap screw that screws directly into the plastic). I'm happy with the product's feature set: the designers seem to have fully exploited the features of the chip on the board, unlike many other products that tend to omit some elements to save costs. The designers have clearly put time and attention into the build and look of the product.
