They are of poor quality due to their high cost.

First of all. The 'new' unit I bought from Revain was clearly in use. It even had a label from the original buyer on it. The unit had a broken strain relief, but that wasn't a major issue for me at first. I used the machine first and it worked great. First I poured really hot water and then the internal heater kicked in and brought it to almost 190 degrees as advertised. It was very hot, the vacuum works great and sucks up most of the water with ease. HOWEVER, on the 3rd or 4th day of use, the heating element failed. He stopped heating the water altogether. I've contacted Sandia support to see what happens. EDIT: I've never heard from Sandia that the heater doesn't work. I bought another block to replace the bad one. The new block worked for several hours, now the water pump does not work and water flows from below. Let's just say these departments are struggling and their company is not supporting them well.

Pros
  • Semi-pneumatic wheels for smooth and quiet running
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly
