Review on ๐Ÿ’ง Shop Nalgene Kids Grip-N-Gulp Water Bottles: Leak Proof, BPA-Free, Dishwasher Safe & Sustainable! by Kyle Robinson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

8 years and everything is fine!

We bought our first Nalgene Grip n' Gulp for our little one in the summer of 2010. It still works 8 years later, just like the others we've accumulated over the years. as we added additional children to our family. They've traveled everywhere we go, been in dishwashers and in cars and rolled under beds to be forgotten for months. They've been dropped from bunk beds and car tops (oops), rolled across the sand on the beach, and left outside in the snowdrift. And things just keep working and never run out. We've occasionally replaced valves (cheaply by Nalgene or Revain), we've upgraded caps (my eldest was about 9 when she decided a leakproof cap was too childish, so we added Nalgene On the Fly to our collection) and we've used them to hell. We have never had a single tear, either on the cap or on the bottle. Every night they snuggle up on the bed with the kids and only lick when we forget to make sure the valve is fully closed. I can attach a carabiner to the lid and clip it to my kids' backpacks so they're always handy (because even 21st-century school backpacks don't always have water bottle pockets). They are fantastically easy to clean. They don't pick up off fancy tastes or smells. Somewhere along the way we bought a camelback baby plastic water bottle. I was happy with the cleaning until one day I put the valve back in and found that part of the lid was hollow and things were growing inside. Nalgenes has nothing you can't see - every detail is reliable. I have boiled the valve when it has turned a little brown after forgetting the bottle and it comes out clean immediately. A word of caution: we've never let anything in them other than water. I live in fear of accidentally finding bottles of sour milk or fermented juice in it, which is why in our house these things are consumed at the table and bottles of water are everywhere. There's nothing about these things I don't like. Did I mention they never expire?
