Review on Thermaltake Tower 100 Turquoise Edition: Premium Mini Tower Computer Chassis with Tempered Glass & Mini-ITX Support - CA-1R3-00SBWN-00 by Jason Maciel

Revainrating 4 out of 5

With a very simple mod it is possible to install large (280x140mm) AIO liquid coolers in the rear bay.

This is a really impressive computer case. I'm always looking for something unique when building a new PC, which I really only do every 5-8 years as the hardware remains acceptable to run the latest games for much longer than it used to. I used this on the 7th Gen Kaby Lake i5 7600k Z270 build. I don't use a special liquid cooling system. You may be wondering why was this particular liquid cooling case chosen? Well, because it looks amazing. I love having lots of space in my computer case and this case showcases your work better than anything else, no doubt about that. Based on what I've read about this case's ability to accommodate AIO liquid coolers, I settled on the Corsair H80I V2 cooler. This is the one that's just "simply wide", with a 120mm intake fan and another 120mm fan for air intake. I installed it on the front of the case, partially covering the MoBo. After writing this review, I shut down my computer, unplugged the mobo and power supply, and used a dremel to cut out a broom strip about 2" x 3/4" so I could mount my cooler in the back compartment. After that, if it works, I can use one of the larger AIO coolers. I hope this works and I can start spreading the word and showing how easy this mod is. I will post photos. Oh I made a little custom color on mine. It's very easy because everything is completely disassembled so you can color each part as you see fit. So it worked! I was able to install the AIO cooler behind the mainboard in the rear slot (see photo). This is a relatively easy mod, especially if you have a Dremel. So I only have a single wide cooler, but it would almost certainly be possible to get a dual AIO 280x140 to work. I also think he looks a lot better.
