Review on πŸšͺ Milgard Sliding Patio Door Handle Set - White by Ken Perry

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Please tap the holes on the handle

Overall it feels and looks good. Not 5 stars though as you have to drill holes in the handle or risk ruining the screws or even the handle. There's no way it's going to last long if you just plug it in like that and let the screw threads tap the handle for you. And why try so hard to force it to lower at the risk of piercing the glass or any part of the door. Use a 4mm x 0.7 tap to accomplish this and the supplied screws go in with no resistance. This will most likely solve the durability issue several reviewers had. The manufacturer had to cut the holes as part of the manufacturing process. This part is quite expensive so it really had to be done. Otherwise it should be <$40 rather than $68+. Also, since a group of reviewers state they are replacing a broken/defective refill, the refills were bought because a stupid renter was trying to replace them as the lock was said to be stuck and the set was worth over $150 including the goalkeeper thrown away. I think their "boyfriend" they hired stole it for his own use and instead put it in a junk thing that looked like a $35 spring claw and also destroyed the plate for the stupid claw mechanism which didn't once worked because they didn't measure at all. It cost me $130 to restore it to how it was before :(
