Fold in half to fix a misaligned manifold flange issue. Worked like a champ, could definitely see how the 50% compression capability allowed both pads folded to close the gap. Please note that these pads break easily when bent! Be careful when assembling. I used them to replace a "heavy duty" gasket that had dissolved in both manifolds. The one that starts with Mister and ends with Gasket. I could literally crumble an old gasket in my fingers like a salt cracker after about 200 miles.
