In the end, one of them was bought at auction, so I had to get a second one with it. I already have a couple of Q150's that I use for surround back (and used once for the front network too, sounds fantastic too). The sound of the Q950 is absolutely AMAZING. The soundstage is incredibly wide when used as a stereo pair, with clear but unobtrusive high frequencies; Do not "pierce" the ear. I have absolutely NO EQ and the bass, treble and mids are absolutely flawless. They run in stereo most of the time without my subwoofer and the bass is rich and full. I've turned them on a few times and have NO distortion (with a 7.1ch receiver @ 95 watts/ch). I noticed instruments and sounds in the music that I didn't even know existed on some of my other speakers (lots of Bose speakers, headphones and a set of Jamo S809 speakers). If you're someone who appreciates the quality of music, movies, and television, you can't go wrong with this device. This is a top price for a speaker set, but we would absolutely recommend it to anyone.
