Review on ☕ Capresso ST300 Stainless Steel 10-Cup Thermal Coffee Maker (Model 435.05) by Beth Martin

Too many flaws to recommend

TITLE: Good coffee, tank difficult to fill, alarm too damn loud, brews slowly, drips when carafe is removed mid-brew. I would NOT buy this again. The coffee is delicious and stays hot for a long time. The controls on the panel are very easy to use, simple and functional. BUT. Since the water tank is on the back of the machine where the lid hinges, water splatters *EVERY* time I fill it up on my table and floor - it's just poor design (other reviewers here point out a similar issue hin) - also why some broke cover them. They try to fill the water tank by pressing the lid to avoid spilling water and breaking the lid. BAD DESIGN. point of real irritation; Signal "coffee ready" on this thing can be heard from two rooms - clear and loud. And it doesn't turn off - very annoying for the rest of the house and the dogs when the coffee stops at 5am. The machine brews slowly - I've never timed it, but it takes about 7-10 minutes to brew six cups - seems like an eternity compared to other systems I've had. Finally -- an insult to injury -- the machine skips coffee if you remove the carafe to have a cup mid-brew (which Capresso says is possible). I checked this out today - when I took the carafe off I had to place an empty cup under the drip to catch it - it dripped for a full 10-15 seconds while I took the carafe out - enough that I had to reach for a paper towel and wipe it off - OR set out a cup to catch it - annoying, unnecessary and again BAD DESIGN. Overall I would recommend it - No. Would I buy it again, no.
