Great car. Makes great coffee

Great car. Makes an excellent cup of coffee. This is my second Capreso machine. Used every day for the last 7 years and it worked great until one of the two little plastic tabs that the lid pivoted on broke off. Although you can still use it, I've decided to buy a new one. This car is just an updated version of the one I had with some design and style changes. They are all good and I like them.

Good coffee machine - makes good coffee and is very functional

Good coffee machine and nice compact size. I prefer a strong cup of coffee, so I use paper filters and the 1-4 cup brew setting – even for large amounts of coffee. It cooks for a reasonable time and has a pleasant taste. Pauses the brewing process if you want to steal the cup during the brewing process. Occasionally a drop of coffee will drip onto the burner when the jug is pushed back, but the process works flawlessly. I wouldn't consider it wrong.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Only available in white

This is my third Capresso

Capresso machines last longer than Krups or Braun and in my experience have fewer problems. After 5 years of using each of my previous 2 Capressos, despite daily cleaning, enough coffee had accumulated in them that it was time for a fresh start. This new version has some improved design features - the water tank lid is smoother with fewer areas to clean. Coffee traps, the body is more compact and there is a new measuring tube on the side. In general, I am an ardent fan of Capresso.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons

very noisy coffee maker wakes up the family

coffee turns out fine but the end of the brewing process is very noisy with a loud "gurgle" for 1-2 minutes. It wakes up my family. But the noise doesn't stop there. When the coffee machine has finished brewing, 5 very loud and high-pitched beeps will sound. They seem loud enough to wake up the neighbors. The noise is so loud that it prevents use of the coffee maker when I get up early for work or entertainment while my family is still asleep. I love Capresso as it is our second maker of…

Capresso makes the best coffee makers

I've had many Capresso coffee makers, and while they cost more, durability isn't their best feature. But they make the best tasting coffee for an electric coffee maker. Poor overs and coffee presses are my favorite ways to make coffee, but sometimes you just don't want the hassle and when you're having fun you just want to be able to make multiple cups. This model is shorter than some of the other models I like, the stainless steel is nice and modern. The ONLY major flaw with this coffee maker…

Leaves residue and comes in product box

Bought this after using a similar model on holiday. When it arrived, there was quite a large house in the box, and the body of the coffee maker was dented. It was only sent in the box with the product, without a shipping box or in any way. Not even sealed with tape. We use the same coffee grounds that we used in the coffee maker over the holidays, but this model leaves residue at the bottom of the pot. We didn't have this problem with the one we used on holiday (it had a built in coffee grinder

The carafe overflows onto the counter and floor.

I bought this Capresso coffee machine because I have had several coffee machines from this company and I was very satisfied with each one. I returned this model to Revain due to a serious problem. I would use program mode to wake up to the smell of coffee and enjoy a cup right away. However, on several occasions I woke up to find the brewer dripping all over the counter and onto the wooden floor (which was a little warped from the hot coffee). This problem wasn't limited to brewing a full…

Too many flaws to recommend

TITLE: Good coffee, tank difficult to fill, alarm too damn loud, brews slowly, drips when carafe is removed mid-brew. I would NOT buy this again. The coffee is delicious and stays hot for a long time. The controls on the panel are very easy to use, simple and functional. BUT. Since the water tank is on the back of the machine where the lid hinges, water splatters *EVERY* time I fill it up on my table and floor - it's just poor design (other reviewers here point out a similar issue hin) - also…
