I originally wrote a 5 star review saying this is the ONLY hub that should stay permanently connected to your MacBook. Yes, it detaches very easily... but that's what any plug-in USB-C hub would be, and you could put a piece of tape on the bottom to hold it in place, so it seemed to work great HOWEVER, I then noticed that the LIGHT on the hub was ALWAYS on...even when my MacBook was off for hours, which made me worry about how much battery it was using.After measuring the battery drain overnight with and without the hub, I set found that this hub used 11% of my battery in 8 hours , hours *by itself* In other words, if you leave your laptop unplugged for a day, it will use a third of your battery.mlemo.There wasn't one for them Reason to turn on the light - it doesn't do any good, so I'd only recommend this hub if you're going to be plugging in your MacBook most of the time. Traveling with it is a terrible drain on the battery. Unfortunately I now have to bring this back and look for another hub that doesn't turn on a totally unnecessary light.
