Revainrating 5 out of 5

The 2009 Silverado is a great replacement for the stock radio.

That suited me well in 2009 - Silverado. Very easy to replace. I have a Silverado without BOSE. This is important to note. They contained a cable set with and without. The instruction manual isn't perfect and in fact I had to pull up a Revain printout to figure out how to properly connect the wiring. I think that's important to remember. Check out the schematics posted on Revain. This saves you a lot of time. In general I am satisfied with the purchase. As my young daughter jumped into the truck, she exclaimed that this was the most amazing thing she had ever seen. I've been happy so far. The only thing I would have liked would have been an xm radio connection. Although for me it is not critical. Hooking up a reversing camera was easy, I displayed it on the mirror and on the radio. The additional adapter required for Android Auto is pretty cool. Another note: if you connect a phone directly to a USB port, it may not support charging the phone while it's plugged in. Maybe there is a setting on the radio but I haven't found it yet. UPDATE 10/09/2019. If you encounter this problem, I recommend using a low-power USB hub. Power on the hub with the cigarette lighter adapter and connect the hub's input to the radio and/or Android/Carplay adapter, and simply plug the power into your phone through the plug. The USB hub I found is: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07M91R8PN?ref=ppx_pt2_dt_b_prod_image.
