There is so much myth and misinformation surrounding the golf ball that I find it almost impossible for the average golfer to know which ball to play. However, these Impulse Tour Control balls appear to have very little performance difference to more expensive balls, although the same can be said for the Maxfli Noodle. For me, most shots were good with it, the balls had no balance problems or processing errors. They're three-part and seem to have a relatively high compression ratio, Noodle has a higher compression ratio and isn't as good, but seems to offer a bit more distance. They aren't as good as softer balls (with less compression) but can have short distance; Provided you have firm and central contact with the ball. Confirmation bias is always an issue when trying to score a ball. So many factors go into the effectiveness of each shot and everyone tends to see what they want to see. You'll come out on top with the only measurable price tag for the average golfer.
