I am shocked that anyone in the US could sell a product with instructions full of spelling and grammatical errors. The creators didn't even bother to get anyone to review it. Oh, apart from those errors, they don't make any sense either! Here's what I've learned through trial and error: (1) For up to 4 cups of rice, for example, add 1/2 cup more water. 3 cups of rice to 3.5 cups of water. For example, for more than 4 cups of rice, use an extra cup of water. 5 cups rice, 6 cups water. (2) For 4 cups of rice, I use 1/3 cup oil. Whatever you do, don't follow their oil recommendations, no matter what they call "salad oil." You will end up with very oily rice! I use half the avocado and olive oil mixture, which is pale and not very heavy. Works great. (3) I cook 4 cups of rice for 60 minutes and the tahdig (crispy) is perfect.* Add another 20 minutes to cook over 4 cups.* Don't stir the rice or it will break up and come out perfect. Maybe a slight movement, but no more. (4) When about 10 minutes remain and you see no more water, pour in the saffron. The lid doesn't have a rubber seal, so it whistles all the time, which could definitely be improved. Plus, it works if you really get the hang of it.
