The perfect rice cooker!

I bought a 4 cup rice cooker and it is perfect. I've been looking for a small rice cooker that makes delicious and crispy tahdig (rice crust) and here it is. I wish it was wider (maybe less deep) so we can have more tahdig every time I cook rice.

Size 3 cups fried rice

As an Iranian, I love the crispy bottom layer (tadegh). But the temperature is 3 cups too high and the rice burns black with a stinky burnt rice smell. Unfortunately the Revain collects all the reviews and this machine gets high marks for the large rice cookers. I have 12 cups and they are amazing. But the kids have moved and we need a smaller rice cooker so I got a 3 cup rice cooker. It's awful but I made a mistake by throwing the box away so no returns. Don't buy the 3 cup version.

Made a perfect tahdig on the first try!

I'm half Persian and I love Tahdig! I have never cooked Persian rice or Tahdig so I bought this rice cooker and it was PERFECT on the first try! This pressure cooker eliminates the need to soak rice overnight. I rinsed 3 cups of rice (using the measuring cup that came with it) until the water ran clear and mixed the drained rice with 6 tablespoons of canola oil. I then added the rice to the pot and added 3 1/2 cups of water and some salt. I wrapped the lid in a kitchen towel, turned on the…

I bought this as a gift because I loved what I bought for myself!

So easy to use I gave my parents one and my brother is eyeing it too. We managed to make Spanish rice with the same delicious dark ring. the water is clear), with a multiple ratio of: - 1 glass of water - 1 glass of rice - 3 tablespoons of unflavored oil (vegetable) - 1 teaspoon of salt (we like slightly salty rice) I usually double this recipe when we make rice, but you could triple or quadruple it if you had to feed a lot of people. Also frees up the stove in my tiny kitchen.

Disappointing BUT: Small Appliances

I was sooo close to getting this back; The instructions are complete nonsense. Don't take my word for it, see for yourself. Especially step 6, the actual part of the cooking instructions. Anyway we tried it and after trial and error it makes really great crispy ground rice and the rest of the rice is creamy and damn delicious we couldn't stop. EAT it. Again, the instructions are terrible, and even searching for videos on the internet turned up useless results if you don't understand Farsi. With

Our Rice Recipe: Kitchen & Dining

We LOVE our rice cooker and it makes AH-MAZING tadiq but it took us a while to get the recipe and proportions right so I thought, I am posting the info here for people who might be interested. The following recipes are for using 1.5, 2, and 3 cups of sea level dried rice. If you need larger proportions, you'll have to experiment on your own. Cooking time 1 hour 15 minutes. The timer only shows 1 hour so you only need to add 15 minutes at some point during cooking. We also don't use the included

Makes Perfect Persian Rice So Easy!

Wow! It is great! I struggled to cook Persian rice on the stove. No longer! It's so easy with this plate! That makes the perfect day. This is how I do it and it works for almost any batch of rice. I've tried no less than 3 cups (including Persian rice cups, not a standard measuring cup), but this recipe works for 3+ cups: Rinse the rice - get it nice and clean. I wash about 5 times directly in the pan. Cover the rice with water and add water until the rice is covered with about 3/8 to 1/2 inch…

Easy to use, easy to clean, perfect Tadig

I made Persian rice for the first time with a Pars 10 cup rice cooker and it was perfect. I used the 2 cup rice recipe suggested by another reviewer on Revain and followed the instructions that came with the stove: Bring the water, salt, oil (and butter) to a boil in the stove and add then add the washed rice. Turn the dial to 60 and put the lid on and as the water boiled I added the washed basmati rice to the pot, leveled it and covered it with a lid wrapped in kitchen towel like I've seen a…

Terrible instructions, this worked for me

I am shocked that anyone in the US could sell a product with instructions full of spelling and grammatical errors. The creators didn't even bother to get anyone to review it. Oh, apart from those errors, they don't make any sense either! Here's what I've learned through trial and error: (1) For up to 4 cups of rice, for example, add 1/2 cup more water. 3 cups of rice to 3.5 cups of water. For example, for more than 4 cups of rice, use an extra cup of water. 5 cups rice, 6 cups water. (2) For 4…
