I made Persian rice for the first time with a Pars 10 cup rice cooker and it was perfect. I used the 2 cup rice recipe suggested by another reviewer on Revain and followed the instructions that came with the stove: Bring the water, salt, oil (and butter) to a boil in the stove and add then add the washed rice. Turn the dial to 60 and put the lid on and as the water boiled I added the washed basmati rice to the pot, leveled it and covered it with a lid wrapped in kitchen towel like I've seen a friend do would have. when cooking rice on the stove. When the dial reached the 10 mark, I turned it back to 25 to increase the cooking time, as suggested in the reviewer's recipe. I think the extra time was required because the recipe included more water for the rice than most I've seen (2 cups dry rice, 3.5 cups water). When the time was up, I pulled out the inner pot and turned it over. upside down on a plate and voila! - Delicious rice with excellent tadig. The rice came out of the pan in one clean whole piece, leaving nothing behind. Cleaning the pot was easy. Rub with a soapy sponge, rinse and done.
