It took me a while to find the perfect cage for my 110lb 1 year old. Old GSD. I bought a rather expensive cage thinking that would be enough but to my surprise he managed to get out of the cage every time. Nothing worked. He fumbled and got out. After reading the reviews I finally decided to buy this pan. So let me tell you now This cell is good. My Zeus couldn't get out of there. He couldn't grab the bars and pull like an old cage and bend them. He couldn't open the lid like the old cage. He exhausted himself trying. I recommend this cage to anyone with a GSD. Assembly was easy and I didn't put wheels on, I don't need a cage to be mobile. The price is good for what you get. Update now in a month. My GSD suffers from separation anxiety. So he pulled the cage from above for two hours away from home. So I attached these bars. Then another time when I was two hours away from home he decided to try biting off and bending one of the top bars. He couldn't. The rod is damaged by tooth marks. So again I say this cage is good. GSD approved. Now a few months in retrospect. My GSD managed to open the latches. I used clamps to prevent that, but he just bit them off. So now we have a link chain and a lock with a key that we can wrap around the door to keep it inside. If the front bars were thicker he wouldn't be able to see the latch to move it up and out of the way. My dog runs around in this cage. Updated 10/20/20. Well, Zeus broke open the door and walked out. It looks like the edges of the door are just spot welded, not solid steel. So now look for a front panel replacement or another cage. To update! I contacted the seller and he exchanged the box. The one I received is different from the one I had, all the sides are welded, you only assemble the top. which we close again. We went to the store and bought some clips to put in the locks to keep the dog from riding up. These clips twist to open and close and withstand the pressure of a GSD bite. So far, so good.
