I downloaded the latest Mac drivers (170MB) from their website, very very slow (about 45 minutes despite my 300MB fiber connection). I read the instructions that came with it and ran the installation package file before plugging the device into my USB port. When I connect the device, a driver other than "Macrosilicon" is applied and the software that comes with it doesn't run because it says there is no compatible socket. device was found. I thought maybe I could uninstall that other driver and reinstall the downloaded driver but couldn't figure it out. It is not clear which driver file is being picked up and why. To be honest, I have been developing software for the Mac platform for over ten years and I have never faced any problem with such a driver. This type of OS is usually reserved for Linux and Windows users. I've been researching this issue for several days. There is no uninstall feature, but I've tried reinstalling multiple times. I've tried every combination of keywords and found that there is little information about this device or any installation issues. However, it is clear that this device is 'based' on another device with a similar chipset, allowing them to sell this product for less than alternatives. I think that's why there are so many installation issues, because experience is an afterthought compared to a cloned circuit. I'm a problem solver, I've been creating and developing for computers most of my life, and I love fixing things. , but I've spent way too much time getting this thing to work.
