Review on Lutron Pico Remote: Caseta πŸ”₯ Wireless Smart Dimmer, Favorite Setting, Black by Eric Avina

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fast, mountable and tactile remote control

The Pico remote control has good button travel so you can feel when the button is pressed. Yes, the Pico doesn't have that "click" like a shift paddle, but it's definitely what I would call tactile. You know you clicked on it. The response time on the Pico is much faster. I noticed that the Pico remotes have two different drivers to choose from in Hubitat: Lutron Fast Pico or Lutron Pico. The latter gives you all 10 button presses (the usual 5 and then another 5, each in a hold state). However, because the remote has to wait to see if you've held down the button or not, it's a little slower to respond. This is where the "fast" driver comes into play. There are only 5 buttons available so it responds instantly. At the moment I've decided to use the "fast" driver. The Pico has really strong magnets and a flat back so it sits perfectly flush and blends perfectly with my mitzvah light lid. I didn't even have to super-glue the magnets to keep the remote securely on the mitzvah. I also used double sided tape just in case, but I don't think it's really necessary. The Pico remotes are great and I'm glad I invested in the $150 SmartBridge Pro because we can get Lutron Caseta dimmers in our next home! πŸ˜€ Definitely recommended for anyone who wants a quick, mountable and tactile solution.
