Tested on: Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 and Samsung Galaxy Note 9. Packaging and first impression: The monitor was well packaged; The top of the box had a nice foam insert to protect the screen. This guy was bigger than expected! When it says 15.6 inches, it's actually 15.6 inches. The S1 came with a mains charger, two durable, interchangeable USB-C cables, an HDMI-mini-HDMI connector, an integrated screen protector, and a flip-out screen protector. a slider that can be used for both brightness and volume), I was surprised that this monitor also has two speakers, an additional USB-C display port, standard VESA mounting holes, and a 3.5mm headphone jack . Video Quality: The S1 really is a 4k resolution IPS monitor. Color reproduction is fairly accurate (even with the screen protector installed) and runs at 60Hz. I haven't been able to overclock the monitor with my laptop, but it's likely that you can overclock the S1 to 70Hz and possibly higher on a standard desktop. Viewing angles are very impressive for a portable monitor, with minimal light/color differences when viewed from extreme angles. Sound Quality: Speaker quality is comparable to what you hear on a high-end phone; The volume is quite loud and could be heard outside of my testing room. The quality is greatly improved by using the built-in headphone output. Game Quality: I've played several rounds of War Thunder on the S1 and forgot I'm playing at 60 frames per second. Brightness seemed stable at 50% and color reproduction could be improved with graphics card settings to make colors more vibrant. In terms of gaming, the S1 performs excellently at 1080-2k, although I wouldn't recommend gaming at 4k unless you have fairly powerful hardware. Mobile: The S1 really shines when used as a secondary portable monitor or as the main display for your Dex/Mobile desktop. I took the S1 to work and used it all day to answer emails, surf the web and run various apps on the screen. Paired with a Bluetooth keyboard, the S1 becomes a very powerful tool for those who need to work on the go or in tight spaces. Overall and lasting impression: The S1 impresses with its quality and size. Whether you're looking to expand your monitor count, increase your mobile computing display, or even add one to your laptop or gaming system, the Dragon Touch S1 Pro is a truly impressive display at an incredibly affordable price!
